PlatAfrica returns this year and MetCon is once again a proud sponsor. Open to leading professional, apprentice and student jewellers, the competition affords South Africa’s talent the opportunity to work with platinum — a most rare and precious resource.

This year’s theme is “Men of Platinum” and looks to inspire jewellery design for determined, independent, focused, strong male role models. Fantastic cash prizes are there to be won, with first place receiving R35k! There are a fair few requirements, so make sure you’re not wanting when the time comes.
